Sometimes with Internet Marketing you’ve gotta flip the script

As I mentioned recently, I’m kinda of fluttering around with internet marketing.   Having to wear so many hats and focus on a variety of things has kinda turned me off.   As the title of this post says, sometimes in Internet Marketing you’ve gotta flip the script.

For those of you who aren’t savvy to slang, it means you’ve gotta change things up.   But you guys knew that.  My audience is ultra cool and sexy savvy, right! 

I think I’ve found my solution.  You know I’ve been wanting to do something in the creativity arena.  I love creating WordPress themes and graphics, but I have yet to launch my website where I sell themes. Call me chicken little, but when you see how awesome other themes are, you can’t help but compare them to yours.  But I’ve found a way around my fear and the pain if no one likes my themes.

I’m going to create a website where I give away free WordPress Header banners.   I’ll also have a free Magazine-styled WordPress Theme.   Having this type of website will allow me to do three things:

One:   It’ll allow me to build up my confidence, ability, and talent in creating header images, graphics, and WordPress Themes. With my efforts,  I’m hoping that my audience will like my designs so much that they’ll purchase custom made designs.

Two:   It’ll allow me to connect with people who are interested in one particular topic.  I’ll still be involved in Internet Marketing but I’ll be focusing on one particular niche.  This will help to grow my skills in IM.

Three:   It’ll allow me to create another source of passive income.  I do intend to include Adsense ads and product banners on my site. I’ll be advertising products that are relevant to my niche.  Of course I’ll be building a list and sharing useful product links in my communications.  From time to time I’ll do a tutorial of a product I really like and include an affiliate link.

To me, this is what Internet Marketing is all about.  It’s about learning, developing, growing, and earning.  I still want to be active on this website as well, but I’ve got to figure out how I’m going to do that.  Perhaps I’ll just share information that’s solely based on IM and not an assortment of things like I’ve done in the past.  Not sure about that one yet.

I’ve seen other free head banner sites and I know there are many out there, but that’s not stopping me, cause those sites aren’t run by me nor do they have my designs.   This idea is flowing and I’m running with it!

I know we have the upcoming Product Creation Challenge, which I’m excited about.  I wish I could share the title of my product, it’s so fun and intriguing, but I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag until it’s the right time to do so.  I’m going to do my best at working on both.  I’ll be sharing my progress with the WP header banner site as soon as it’s up and running.
